Carbon: Composite material of plastic and carbon fibers which can endure high forces relative to its weight. The woven fibers cause the typical black-grey surface pattern of carbon parts.
Control software: The programm software, which defines and executes the movements of the machine.
Freeform: A shape, which is not consisting of planar and zylindrical surfaces, balls and cones and similar, but is bent in any way.
Imprimere ( with emphasis on i): Latin for press, imprint
Reinforcement: The reinforcement effects that the otherwise low stressable concrete can withstand traction and bending stress. It is usual to enclose individual reinforcement sticks or prefabricated grids with concrete.
Tetraeder: Pyramid with a triangular base. This is a showpiece only and has no technical use.
